I Blame It All on Pacman...

First and foremost, let me give credit where credit is due, my good ol' tropa Brian V for sharing their PPV via Skype. Thanks a lot! (With the recent "delayed promise", I was not able to purchase the PPV channel for the bout. Of course, I am just making an excuse for not wanting to spend even a dime for a boxing match. Well, this blog is all about excuses. Excuses that I can find on how majority of Pinoys handled this Pacquiao "Loss")

How can I blame Manny Pacquiao, let me count the ways...

I blame Manny for putting up phenomenal fights before this.

I blame the "Pambansang Kamao" for giving world-class fighters the beating of their lives. For giving us, Flipinos, the perfection in a boxing glove. For making us witness the fastest punches in the planet, with the stingiest left hand in all of boxing. I blame PACMAN for showing us that one does not need a power pellet to bust out "ghost monsters".

I blame him for opening up wounds after wounds of countless warriors inside the squared circle, that led our countrymen believe and lean back on comfort after seeing domination after domination of challengers and oppositions.

I blame Pacman, for growing his hair long that every shot he ducks, his hair flies off, as if hit hard. I blame him for making Marquez land majority of shots to his gloves and elbows.

I blame you for letting this fight go the distance, for leaving some of our fellow Pinoys, who bought cinema tickets to see you dominate your arch-nemesis, disappointed.

I blame the Fighting Pride of the Philippines for not ducking Marquez, for not avoiding this third bout. I blame him for retaining Freddie Roach as a trainer. I blame him for not taking in substance (other than urine, which is Marquez' trademark) to enhance his performance.

Yes Manny. YOU are to be blamed for making this nation think you are Superman. That you made them forget that even Superman has his Kryptonite.

After this "escape" of a win, I blame you for waking up the fighting spirit of the biggest ego in all of boxinglandia, the bravest of all the fighters of this age, Floyd Mayweather Jr. He had destroyed your Kryptonite before you, and "you can't even land a devastating shot" on JuanMa Marquez (those cuts and swelling on JuanMa's face are just prostethics, Manny is weak, his punches cannot do that anymore). How could you let that happen?

I can think of many other things to blame you for, it is just almost midnight, and I can think straight no more... AND I BLAME YOU TOO FOR THAT!
